We collect and process Your Personal Data, both when you register and when you use the Calculator.

1. What is the purpose of this document?

The purpose of the Privacy Policy is to inform you about:

  • the methods and characteristics of the processing of your Personal Data that we operate in relation to the Calculator ;
  • your rights with regard to the regulatory framework applicable to the protection of Personal Data, in particular the RGPD, Act no. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties, as amended, as well as any legislative and/or regulatory act of French or European law applicable in France relating to the protection of Personal Data (hereinafter the "Applicable Data Protection Regulations").

The Privacy Policy is an integral part of the Terms of Use and must be read in conjunction with them. All capitalized terms not defined in the Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Use.

2. Who collects and processes your data? 

We define the purposes and means of the data processing carried out on the Calculator and thus act as data controller.

3. What Personal Data do we collect?

Through the Calculator, We may collect and process the following Personal Data from Users:

  • Identification data: title, surname, first name, country of residence;
  • Your contact details: e-mail address, telephone number (optional).

Mandatory information for the implementation of services is indicated in the Form by a symbol *.

Clarification of minimization :

We have designed the Calculator with the ambition of providing you with a perfectly secure tool, corresponding to Your needs, without collecting more Personal Data than necessary. We limit ourselves to the strict minimum and therefore to these two categories of data.

We invite you to take the necessary precautions when using the Calculator and to delete any Personal Data concerning yourself or third parties that may be contained in the Data and, more generally, in any documents used in connection with the Calculator. We exclude all liability in the event of loss, disclosure or deterioration of such data.

Why is the collection and processing of your Personal Data necessary?

4. How long do we keep your Personal Data?

We keep your Personal Data for a period that is strictly necessary and proportionate to the purposes for which it was collected, i.e. :

They are not kept beyond the period necessary for the purposes of the processing concerned. They are then archived to enable Us, where applicable, to comply with Our legal or regulatory obligations, or deleted.

5. Who has access to your Personal Data?

Personal Data is accessible to Ecoprod, to the association's employees in charge of Carbon'Clap's administration, and to the association's service providers (in particular its service providers in charge of development).Under no circumstances will Ecoprod share your Personal Data with third parties without your prior consent.

6. What guarantees are implemented to protect Your Personal Data?

We undertake to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect Your Personal Data against accidental or illicit destruction, loss, alteration, distribution or unauthorized access, and to preserve the confidentiality of the data collected.

In particular, we implement the following technological and organizational measures:

  • Connections are encrypted using TLS v 1.3 or higher.Projects are stored on a database dedicated to each "instance", and the project is associated with a user or collaborator by their identifier(s).
  • The database is hosted with Carbon Clap on the same datacenter and French provider: Scaleway.
  • Access to datacenter resources is nominative for those with access, and non-generic for the monitoring team.
  • There is no direct access to storage services (FTP, network shares, etc.) which could represent a vulnerability.

In this context, Personal Data is hosted within the European Union, and no Personal Data is transferred outside the European Union.

7. What are your rights?

In application of the Regulations applicable to the protection of Personal Data, You have the following rights with regard to Your Personal Data:

  • Right of access to Your Personal Data, i.e. the right to receive a copy of the Personal Data being processed, as well as additional information (purposes, categories of data, etc.);
  • the right to rectify your Personal Data, i.e. the right to obtain the modification of any of your Personal Data that may be erroneous, incomplete or obsolete;
  • Right to request the deletion of Your Personal Data, i.e. the right to obtain the deletion, as soon as possible, of Personal Data concerning You, when (i) Your Personal Data are no longer necessary with regard to the purposes for which they were collected or processed, (ii) You withdraw Your consent, (iii) You exercise Your right to object, (iv) Your Personal Data have been processed unlawfully, (v) Your Personal Data must be deleted pursuant to a legal obligation;
  • Right to request the limitation of Your Personal Data, i.e. the right to request the limitation of the processing carried out on Your Personal Data, subject to justifying one of the grounds provided for in Article 18 of the RGPD ;
  • The right to the portability of Personal Data, i.e. the right to receive Your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and the right to transmit this Personal Data to another data controller;
  • The right to object to the processing of Your Personal Data, i.e. the right to object at any time to the processing of Your Personal Data for reasons relating to Your particular situation. We will cease all processing of Your Personal Data, unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which prevail or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims;
  • The right to define the conditions of use, conservation and communication of Your Personal Data after Your death.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL).

9. How do I manage my subscription to the newsletter?

When you register on the Calculator, you can agree to receive the Ecoprod newsletter.

To unsubscribe from the Ecoprod newsletter, You can click on the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the Ecoprod newsletter to be removed from the mailing list at any time. You can also contact us using the contact details below, specifying that your request concerns unsubscribing from the Ecoprod newsletter.

10. Are cookies used?

A cookie is a small text file, often encrypted, stored in the Internet browser. When a site is visited, the latter sends information to the browser, which then creates a text file on the receiving terminal (PC, phone, tablet, or any other device), containing information about the visit to the site concerned.

We only use technical cookies that are strictly necessary to access the Calculator. Without these cookies, we would not be able to provide You with the full functionality of the Calculator.

The information collected through these cookies remains available for as long as the cookies are present on the terminal, without being able to exceed a period of thirteen (13) months from their deposit.

The refusal to install or the deletion of certain cookies essential to the operation of the Calculator may result in the impossibility of accessing certain functions of the Calculator. Where applicable, We decline all responsibility for any consequences linked to the degraded operation of the Calculator resulting from the impossibility of using cookies which are necessary for their operation, and which are refused or deleted.

11. Under what conditions can the Privacy Policy be modified?

The Privacy Policy may be modified at any time, in particular in order to ensure its compliance with legislative and regulatory changes.

The User will be informed and/or asked to accept the changes if necessary via the Site.

Your Personal Data is collected and processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy in force at the time of collection, unless a mandatory legal requirement stipulates otherwise and applies retroactively.

We advise you to consult the Privacy Policy each time you visit the Site in order to take note of any changes or updates made to the present Privacy Policy.
